Secure video conferencing - SCOTTY

The Secure Multi-Function Unit
A fully equipped yet compact office unit for secure speech, data and video communication over Inmarsat. It has been developed and deployed for military peacekeeping use and is compatible to NATO standard encryption.
The solution includes a rugged notebook computer, SCOTTY Video-Communication, two Inmarsat GAN satellite modems, integrated KIV 7 and OMNIxi encryption docking stations, SCOTTY high efficiency data-transfer system, printer and scanner, SCOTTY Universal Synchronous Network Interface, double Inmarsat GAN antenna unit, and peripherals such as telephone handsets, battery chargers, etc.
The SCOTTY ClassMate
The ClassMate has been designed to be a powerful, flexible, and convenient replacement to standard heavy and bulky conference room equipment.
The unit, which can be closed and secured between lessons, has a built-in computer, video projector, speakers, and a pan/ tilt/zoom camera mounted on a retractable arm. Simply open the housing and extend the camera arm to enjoy off-line multi-media work or audio, video, and data communications over ISDN (4xBRI) and IP.
The new SCOTTY ClassMate is unique:
-
The ClassMate is the only product which offers an integrated video projector rather than heavy expensive monitors. The projector provides either live video or the PC desktop on a screen so that even very large groups can see.
- The ClassMate can be closed and locked – all components can be secured from tampering within seconds.
- The ClassMate offers both multi-media equipment and the complete SCOTTY Video Communication package making it more versatile and powerful than other systems.

The Dual GAN Workstation
Not an end-device but a means to connect various kinds of end-devices to various networks. This portable unit has been designed for armed forces in Europe. It offers 128 kbit/s data (using two GAN terminals in parallel) for ISDN or synchronous devices, a DECT station for voice calls, a personal computer for file transfer and set up, and an adapter to enable ISDN devices to connect to synchronous encryption.

The Answer for your Communication Needs
I have an Inmarsat B terminal and a laptop – how can I check my emails? … all of my communication must be secure – how do I connect my encryption device to the network? … I want to dial a 2B ISDN call from my boat – is it possible? … can I multiplex a new Inmarsat GAN with my old Inmarsat B?
The SCOTTY I-ADAPTERS answer your communication needs: The SCOTTY I-SYNC adapter provides an interface between a dial-up ISDN interface and synchronous serial ports. Several interface and dialing standards are available to connect the system to an encryption device or any Inmarsat-B terminals on the market. Common ISDN products can be used via the SCOTTY I-SYNC.
The SCOTTY I-SPLIT adapter provides an interface between a dial-up 2B ISDN interface and TWO 1B ISDN ports. This makes it possible to use standard 2B ISDN products using two Inmarsat GAN terminals in parallel.
The SCOTTY I-MIX adapter provides an interface between a dial-up ISDN interface and one synchronous serial port and a 1B ISDN port. This enables 2x64 kbits/s dialing with an ISDN product through an Inmarsat GAN and an Inmarsat B in parallel.
